Highlights from TFI New Labels Competition 2017

2017 is Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI)’s 30th anniversaries and TFI’s 25th New Labels Fashion Design Competition & Show, which held in Toronto’s Waterworks historical building and is the opening show for the newly inaugural Toronto’s Women Fashion Week.

This year we have 5 competitors based from Ontario and Quebec, and a winner is chosen by the end of the show by a panel of judges: David Dixon, Suzanne Rogers, Jeff Rustia, Suzanne Timmins and Cameron Williamson.  The winner will receive a prize packaged valued at over $90,000, including cash prize from Suzanne Rogers Award for Most Promising New Label, financial services and advice from RBC, a HP laptop, a fully-sponsored editorial in one of Canada’s leading fashion publication, FLARE.com and HELLO! Canada and a runway spot in the next season Toronto Women’s Fashion Week Spring 2018 season.

Here we brought you some highlights from each designer’s collection.  Enjoy.
